Thanks Jay.

Does the company that did the work have dynos posted somewhere? Didn't see any on their website.

Reason I ask is that it seems like such a definitive number "+40 hp, +70 tqe (30 wheel hp, 50 wheel tqe)" that there has to be some detailed dyno before/after to back that sort of claim up somewhere.

Don't get me wrong, not doubting the improvement or anything and I think it's great that there is what sounds like a great option for some easy HP! Would be interested in something similar for my GS; manufacturers claims of high HP increases don't usually seem to hold out on the dyno for our cars, however. Probably not as much room for improvement in efficency.

Click here for dynojet locations in your neck of the woods.

Last time I looked they had dyno sheets posted. Check the ecu upgrade.

Oh yeah, there it is at the bottom, thanks.

Looks like a pretty good increase across the board. Would like to see a 'normal' dyno single gear HP and TQ pull rather than shifting, but both are useful. Looks promising!

I am with technics, I have a 92 SC300 and I was also looking at the ECU upgrade. But I wanted to see something on what this would do for me as far as the ECU upgrade on a stock 300. Also if my car is stock and I am not looking for anything else other then the ECU which upgrade would I need... The one for $850 or the full one for $1250 I am looking to keep the car stock as far as performance mods other then the ECU upgrade if I went with it....

Please let me know
Shawn

Does this upgrade also advance the timing? if so, how much?

Only reason I'm asking is because I want to add a 75 shot of nitrous and I can't do it with the ECU I'm running now. Too much timing adavance = me looking for a new 1uz.

why does it only say
92-96? what is so special about the '97 that the ECU cant be reprogrammed?

also, what side effect other than decrease MPG does this upgrade have?

Hey Vegas there is an upgrade available for running NOS.
See here: http://www.lexuspros.com/cgi-bin/sto...product=scchip

And Legend, remember I think the 97+ SC's are OBD-II, that may play a part in the ECU tuning not being available

Legendary,

I have a '97 and it does not have VVTI. It's only on '98+ SC's

I wonder what dyno #'s would be for SC300's manuals. $1250 is pretty cheap for +40hp +70tq

Its all good, The thing with it is, after first reseting the computer and then calibrating it after running 0-100 full throttle 3 times, it has insane power... It thrills me greatly for the first few days but after a while it seems to fade a little. Im thinking when i take it to the track I'll run the 1/4 mile like 5 or 6 times and reset my computer before the first times in the hope that the power increase will stay with the ecu permanently.
