Lexuspros.com ECU rebuild commentary
Alright then. I just finally finished calibrating and setting up my one and only mod. The full ecu upgrade by lexuspros.com.
One thing to realize is, when you first reinstall the upgraded cpmputer, you need to find a safe area and run the car 0-100 mph full throttle 3 times so the computer can find the best spark timing and fuel mixture ratios.
The upgrade adds 30 wheel hp, and 50 wheel torque, which at the crank would translate at 70% dist. to about 45 hp and 70 tqe!! With this upgrade our cars will have the same torque curve as a Chevy LT1.
I can say for a fact the low end power of the car is simply great now, it has a slightly meaner growl too! The greater torque really gives me a thrill when im cutting around a corner and punch it.... it just pulls all the way to 40 and instead of dropping the car into second gear, it really gives it a nice kick to add a few extra mph. This truly helps our cars out alot because now its hella fast ANYWHERE in the powerband.
In second gear, it pulls all the way to 65 a little faster and then all the way to 100 is slightly faster, but not by much. Remember that low end power is very important in 1/4 mile racing, so this is a good improvement.
The cost of the full upgrade is $1,250. I feel its worth it because it adds even more fun to an already awesome car, not to mention it puts us ahead of TONS of cars that are amost dead even with us in a drag race such as STS's, 3.2TLs, Maximas, and so on....
Let me know if anyone has any questions about any specific things.

This question is probably best left to the nice folks over at Lexuspros but I'm going to ask anyway. Will the car smog OK? Since the upgrade is done to the ECU itself and not a piggyback unit will the car pass with the ECU in?
That's the only reason I went with the WR ECU cause it comes with a bypass plug and can easily be taken in or out.

I believe the car will pass emissions without a problem. However, I should note that the fuel mixture option with the FULL upgrade does decrease the cars fuel economy by up to 2 mpg. I configure this to add about $100 to annual fuel costs, not a significant amount.
Well, I dont know about the ECU adding the similar punch of a supercharger, but if you consider a supercharger for this car would cost about $5,000 installed vs. The $1,250 for almost as much of power increase, I would say this is a better value so to speak.
Imagine an SC400 with the ecu upgrade, dragon torque converter, AND a supercharger! Oh my.

i passed the smog test with the ecu unit (the version w/o fuel map, nos switch). the levels were a little higher than the last time i took my car in for a smog test, but that is probably due to variables.

Can you please post your before and after dynos? Apologies if you've posted them before and I missed it.
With that being the only mod to your SC it's the ideal poster-child for proof beyond the manufacturer claims.

Would your reprogramming able to control my new injectors? They are MKIII Supra T 7MGTE 440cc/min injectors. I have Apexi S-AFC right now and the car is running really rich. Can your reprogramming also control timing? Plan to run 15-18 psi once my intercooler is in.
