How much would it cost? I could probably get my parents to lend me some money, since thats all I really need on my car is the new leather. Thats awesome that he's based out of Dallas, but if we do the group buy wouldnt it be cheaper? I dunno, just wondering. Reply back or just PM me.

Default Katskinz colors

For anyone who has seen the color samples from Katskinz, would you say that the tan SC400 stock seats are their 'sandstone' color?

I'm getting ready to order new seats from autoleathers.com and want to make sure I get the closest possible match.

Thanks....

I would say sandstone is probably the correct color, which is the same color as my interior. I'm going to call autoleathers and get some samples.

That's what I thought as well. Just wanted a second opinion.

Thanks ajayssc40093

Hey asjayssc40093,

PM me with your mailing address and I'll send you my samples from autoleathers.com. We'll recycle.

Default Matching color

FYI, I went by autoleather's facility and put actual swatch's against my Tan interior.

My opinion, the closest color to the tan is called "Adobe" and to the darker brown "Taupe".

Maybe a group buy doesn't work. But, perhaps a mass individual purchase might gain similar discount. That is, everyone looking to purchase their interior kit place their order individually, thus avoiding the issues GS pointed out. I suggest the only organization needed in this case is for each to place their order in the same week with reference that the order is contingent on getting the indicated discount.

Anyone FIRM on placing their order, go to their autoleathers.com site and go through the process to confirm what you want. When you get to the summary page, it will present something like this:

Order Summary

Vehicle: 1995 Lexus SC300/400
Pattern: QULE20
Leather Content: Standard (click to change)
Design: Two-tone Inserts with Piping
Primary Color: Taupe
Secondary Color: Adobe
Adobe Contrast Stitch?: N
Installation: Self

Cut and past this section into an e-mail to me at dahozzman@hotmail.com. I'll take the responsability to take copies of each of your e-mails to them and "negotiate" and advise back. I'm looking to purchase one of their kits either way next week. So, I'm going there either way.

BUT, only those that look to order by February 5th and do not e-mail me if you are not absolutly ready to follow though. This is a short window opportunity. Assuming they go for this, at the end of the day you'll all order directly and pay directly. Obviously, the more the better.

Default additional clarification

Cut and past from a PM I just got:

"Gixer 1000 wrote on 01-21-04 02:16:
How much would the discount be ?"

dahozzman:
"Yet to be seen. Haveing a hand full of potential orders when I visit with them will be the fuel driving this exercise. My guess, 5 to10% making it between $35-70 off. Maybe more. Or, they may just say no discount. But, won't know until I try."

But, need some mojo to have a hope to be successful. And, a quantity of one shot orders should provide that mojo.

Again, not looking to be leader to a group discount in the classical sense. I just noticed there is a number of club members wanting this, but hesitating because of the size of the individual check involved. So in making this one shot run at them, if I can get something done for everyone firmly interested, then I also benefit for the discount obtained for my mutual need.

Man I am going to need new leather once my car comes out of the shop. I used to have good leather but my car has been in shops a total of 48 weeks. Not a typo. The leather was bad a few months ago. I imagine it must look like some bum lived in it with all the oil, dirt and wear I expect after the time period. GB anyone? hehe

Default E-mails

Just checked my account, and no e-mails received as of yet.

Remind, if you're definitely on and want me to go for the price discount, I need an e-mail (read-indication in writing to show I'm not full of bs). The address again is dahozzman@hotmail.com.

Scroll up on what I need in the e-mail to make it meaningful.

10 would be great, but I'll take what every arrives by, say, next Thursday.

If they can make perforated(drilled) suede centers then I am definitely in.
