Does anyone know of a good mechanic around the Middle Georgia area? I really do not feel like going to the dealerships and getting ripped off. Maybe someon that will do a little work on the side.

This won't help you, lex_ga, but in Atlanta, T3 Automotive does a great job. One trick that I've used is to take my car to a Toyota dealer instead of a Lexus dealer. Judging from the way the Toyota mechanics reacted, a lot of people do that. They also seemed to be glad to take the business away from their luxury badged brethren.
