What year SC400 do you own?
#17
got a 92 they stopped bringing them north of the border after that. but it was between the back on beige and the 95 white on black which was clearly in a bad accident. Mine was too but i guess it wasn't that bad. Only the rear quarter gives me prob cuz the shop that fixed it up did a @#$tty job and i have rust forming under the paint every couple of years.

Did you forget MY 2000....?
The poll doesn't have a spot for the last year of the SC400 - the mighty 2000! My 2000 Millenium Silver/black has just 12,400 spotless (and stock!) miles on it, and is a great update on my '95 "Platinum" SC400. Incidently, all the scuttlebutt is that MY2000's were terrible sellers. Does anyone know how many were made? I've also been told that mine may be the last one shipped to the U.S. - does anyone know how I could confirm or refute this??? Thanks!

If your serial number is 1003082 that is the last SC400 made. It was made in June 2000, if so I want it! But check here: http://www.jkwebdesign.co.uk/lexuscl...tiontables.htm
It has all the production models and numbers.

99 SC 400
1999 SC 400, and I will never part with it. I have owned too many cars to count in my life [including a 95 SC 400], and in my opinion, for the money, "nothing" stacks up to the SC. It's a 2 door, V8, rear wheel drive, 5 speed auto, sunroof, TC, it seats 4, and it’s a rocket right out of the box. They all work and come together flawlessly. And it's a Lexus.

The Last SC400 Made...?
Thanks for the referral to the production tables, but unfortunately, the numbers appear to represent the "first" car made inthat month, not the last one. Thus, in June, 2000, the first car produced was serial #1003082. My car is serial number 1003106 (24 cars later?) but that still doesn't tell me if it was the FINAL one. But damn close, right? Paul

I have a 97 sc400 and was looking at a 98 sc400 with about the same exact mileage and both were cpo lexus cars but when doing the math the differences in prices led me to the 97 also due to insurance quotes almost $400.00 more a year for the 98 couldn't justify the hike for one year newer.
Couldn't be more happier with one I chose hope I have the same reliability as most of you have had with your cars

i think that the best year is gonna be determined by what a person wants to do to a car....which would be the same situation as deciding on either a SC 300 or a SC 400...and the an auto or a stick when it comes to a SC 300...so since the cars somewhat vary from year to year its gonna depend on the person...thats why i chose a 1993 SC 400...i like my dash-lights(white) and automatic lights(not for a 92 model)..and my front grill(92-94)...and the dual airbag..
