I want to pick up a '99-'00 Millenium Silver (just like my SC3) SC400 and throw in a 6-speed! I'm really loving the idea of a stickshift V-8 with boost!

Default Swap in the V160 manual...

If your going with a stick shift swap on your SC400 or SC300, I suggest you throw in the V160 Supra tt tranny and stick, it mounts in well and can support 4 digit horsepower especially if you planning to boost.... The V160 tranny is the best of the best at a reasonable price used... Stock Lexus trannies cannot handle much more then 400hp and that includes the sc300....Something to think about....

14 year old Toyota here That's what I tell people I just meet and these say " I hope that car is worth keeping, but I’ve heard those Toyotas last forever" and I say "yeah I know, I try my best maintaining and cleaning my car" and when they see my car there like you drive a "LEXUS" you bastard!

whoa, never found this thread b4. I got my car in april 98 sc400 w/ 26,000 original miles, now it has around 28,000.

So far i have a carbing stb and a blitz drop in filter on the way. Looking to delete the resonators, and as of now im researching about superchargers and nos. Im just looking to beat my friend's 2005 545i and 06 mustang gt.

Wow....I wish I could keep that many miles on my car. I think I drove that many miles my 1st month...LOL.... Nice car and nice color . I am kind of biased though

My 1998 SC400 with 264k miles that can still **** off 05/06 Mustang GT's....I dunno about 545i's cuz I haven't had the opportunity to **** one off yet.

I think that the 98' is the best year because you have the new interior with more wood trim ( and it still has the 4 spoke steering wheel, which I like better than the 3 spoke), new gated 5 speed auto tranny, VVTi with 290 hp and new exterior... ...God I love these cars...
I LOVE that Baroque Red Metallic color...I had a hard time choosing between a 99 baroque/tan and my 00 blk/blk SC4...I couldn't make a decision even though I've owned and gotten bored w/the tan interior. That color is HOT, congrats!

Had to go with the 00 blk/blk SC4 though...it's the only one I've ever come across in almost 4 years of owning and looking at SCs; the only other 00 blk/blk I've seen was an SC3.

00 SC4's are rare enough...they only made a couple of the blk/blk ones though...both SC3 AND SC4s.
