I'm doing a little polishing and painting under the hood and I look down in the corner and see that big ugly Interstate battery sitting there.

Does anyone know of a company or person that makes a polished aluminum battery cover that will fit the stock 95 SC400 battery?

I believe the only kits i've seen around are for optimas and such, and there are a lot of those.. now you could paint the battery itself

As long as I don't paint the important parts like the terminals, do you think that would cause any problems?

I know that batteries give of gases. I'm not sure if trapping those gases in with paint is a bad thing or not, nor am i certain the gases won't eat the paint off and make it lot's uglier than the stock battery look.

Might be time for a trip to Home Depot and buy some aluminum
