Default Need help soon! 97+ F. bumper upgrade

Well my car has been in the shop for a whopping 3 weeks after my accident, with pretty much no progress. I asked for a 97+ front bumper and they should be recieving it tommorow. I have a 92, and they told me all this mumbo jumbo, it might not fit etc. Can someone from experience put me at ease and let me know what I need ? They only ordered the Bumper Cover, and the Grill. Will I need new foam or any pieces inside? Please help ASAP and thanks in advance.

Even the foam, and everything else? The body shop showed me a diagram of the 92 front, and a 97 front. They look pretty different, but alot of parts look like they wont affect anything like the 3 bottom pieces in the 92 bumper.

comeon the foam is only 45 bucks, if your cheap you can use the old foam, you may need to shave some off.

You can trim the vertical sections @ the top of the old foam support, but like aliga said it's like $45, so the new one is the only way to go...

Do a search, you'll find plenty on this.

Goblin,

It requires no modifacation whatsoever. The 97+ bumper fits in every aspect. It was easy for me to put the bumper on myself knowing that everything fits like OEM should. The guys at your body shop seem lazy.

I did a complete 97-00 Conversion myself on my 95, everything fits fine.

When I was ordering the parts through my local lexus dealer some tech guys said that it couldnt be done, when I came back showed them my car I proved them wrong.

if you do a search with my user name you will find alot of pics of the process while i was painting my car and doing the conversion

I don't trust anyone with my car except for people at Clublexus. Many people can't be trusted, all they want is your money..When they see your car all they see is dollar signs and nothing else...Thats why you hear a lot of stories of BAD customer service..It's a jungle out there, watch who you do business with..

Some tech guys are idiots! I wouldn't be surpised if they come on the forum to find out about some info for themselves..
