Would you smoke your taillights black?
Not cheap covers, actually have a nice glaze job done. I saw an sc locally that had it done and truthfully it didn't look too terrible in person. (This is not the sc that had it done, this is llmidnitellsc40's slick ride with my chopping)

In the daytime on my black SC with 5% tints and chrome rims, it would look soo tight i think. I have always thought about it ever since I got my car. How do you apply the smoke glaze after you take the lights out?

lightly sand the tails, shoot a VERY LIGHT coat of black on them, wetsand, black again, then clear. then sand again. then clear, then buff.

Is this the look that your are trying to achieve?
I think smoke tail lights look tight on a black or Jade green SC.
I have seriously considered doing the smoke to mine.

I know it's not an SC, but I chose to smoke my front marker lights on my GS rather than putting in clear ones. I wouldn't do my tail lights, but I'm a big fan of the way they turned out. Painted them on the car (lots of tape and newspaper).

you know i never thought about smoking the tail lights....or even the side markers! now i'm caught between smoking the side markers or buying the d-speed ones...
way to go one, now i have more to think about.

Blacked out stuff reminds me of the mid 90's. Remember when the "cool" thing, was to head to Pep Boys, and buy those plastic smoked headlight covers? I can't believe some of us were ever stupid enough to buy something that not only looked sort of stupid, but cut night time light output by almost 59%!
