Lexus SC300/400 Exterior Quarter Panel Moulding Removal (Help)
Hey guys,
I hate to bother all of you with this question, but after searching the forums and looking through the service manual I'm a little more than confused.
I'm trying to remove the Quarter panel molding on my SC300, but it's pretty stuck in place. Before I continue any further, I just wanted to clarify; It's held in place just by metal snaps, correct?
The manual mentioned that there was a nut to remove, but that doesn't really follow with everything else i've seen( I was able to remove it on the side photo'd, but it already pops out on its own, unfortunately.)
Here's a picture of the area I'm referring to;
Additionally, but still on topic, in regards to the parts diagram for the car, what exactly is the circled part in this diagram? I didn't see anything like it when I removed the moulding on the left side, does it not correlate with the moulding?
Thank you very much for your help!

They are snaps, but you’ll kill them removing them so you should buy new ones. The tool is a panel popper sold at any auto store. Doing it with anything else will cause damage.

I think part of my confusion was that fact my clips were painted over. Are all three of these replaceable?(The 90467-09112 part from above?)
Thank you again!

there are nuts on the backside of the front fenders that you need to remove.
Also those plastic snaps, I purchased new ones on amazon, pack of like 50 of them for $8.
