There aren't very many people with SC's in the Kansas City area. People look at me like I'm driving a space ship. Yuppies give me the double-take. Girls LOOOOOOVE the car, it's hard to beat a slick black coupe for status points. And in my opinion, if chosing between labeling the SC as a ladies' car or a gentlemans' car, it's CLEARLY a gentlemans' car. I'm with mynoles in it's target age groupe. I think it's a common mid-life-crisis remedy. And when one has put all they have into the car they drive, they're going to think it's all that and a double-sided di!d@, whether it's a Hyundai or a McLaren F1. Everybody is different and people can be so disgustingly ignorant, sometimes it's just hard to accept that. However, it's too bad everybody doesn't keep up with J.D. Power and Associates ratings (I know I do), as Lexus is ALWAYS on top. Lexus DEMANDS respect. The most recent one I saw listed Lexus as being almost 30 points ahead of the second place manufacturer (Cadillac, to my surprise) in reliability. My old economics professor used to complain about his automotive financial situation; he and his friend both bought SUVs at the same time, he bought a Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer, his friend bought a RX300. The RX was only 3 g's more. He's pissed because now that they've had their cars for a while, the RX has more miles and it's worth 18gs and the Explorer is worth 8gs. Granted, there are some american cars that I desire; Z06 and the new cobra's. But they'll never be what the SC is. And I know the new X-type Jag has the duratec in it, the S-type has tweaked Lincoln LS drivetrain in it, or vise versa. I read that Mercedes reliability rep has plunged because of the AMERICAN MADE M-Class. But it's sad to see Volvo and Volkswagon's ranking so low as well. Anyway, I just realized I'm rambling. I could go on for hours. What can I say, I love cars.
