well boys and girls at CL....some forum stints are short lived...i may not be with CL much longer...its been good here for the last few weeks...i hate stupid drivers...so irresponsible....make me give up my baby....i hate them....those jack@sses!!

man...it was raining last night...and i was makin a left from a stop sign on a side road onto a main road. there was stupid *** red ford explorer behind me and i had been waiting for like 3 minutes already for a break in traffic....finally i got a tight break and i had to gas it quick to get thru...so i did and i made about halfway through the turn when the guy in the explorer decides he wants to go also behind me. he gases it full im guessing and taps my rear bumper hard enough to send me into a spin. before i could correct my spin i was already jumping the curb and landed a good size tree in my front bumper. everything is ruined in the front. right in the middle of my bumper is a big tree indent about a foot into the hood. the bumper has peeled off from both sides....the drivers side fender is bent the passenger side fender is fine. the lights are smashed, the hood is smashed. all 4 rims are fine but i sure the suspension is wrecked because it was a 6 inch curb that i jumped at about 10-11 mph. the airbag didnt deploy or anything...and the worst part is..i didnt get the license plate number as he was driving off. GOD I HATE STUPID people IN SUV's THAT THINK THEY OWN THE ROAD!! IM SO PISSED AT MYSELF AND AT STUPID DRIVERS!!! I DONT HAVE MY LEX!!! chances are its totaled. blue book value on my 94 sc300 gives about $8600...isurance company is gonna cover up to 75% of the value of the car in damages, and then take off a $1000 deductible. but chances are good that its over for me. my brother had a similar accident in this car in which he had drven underneath an SUV. the hood, fenders, and bumper replacement alone cost $5000 at the time. i have engine problems on top of that. i want to the crap out of stupid SUV drivers

That's awful! And that SUV driver was more than just stupid- he committed a hit-and-run AND he ran a stop sign. Dang- never a cop around when you need one, eh?

I've seen hit and runs often here in LA, presumably by uninsured motorists. I was even involved in one. Even though I had the license plate number, the cops would not do much for me.

Sorry to hear about your problems and wrecking the lex, know that hurts. Good luck getting it all fixed.

I do have a request for you - please make your point without cursing and trying to get around ClubLexus language edits with *, etc. I know you're upset but it doesn't give you free reign to break forum rules.

Same goes for replies... many of us have had something similar happen that gets us spun up. Keep[ it clean please.

Plus I see from your sig that your car was pristine. Major bummer, but I'd say take the money and go find yourself a new SC for yourself.

That sucks man. At least you were uninjured. Sounds like it could have been alot worse. Hope you had full coverage.

I've been there. A big Chevy work truck that decided not to yield to oncoming traffic totalled my 92 SC400. Spent the night in the hospital with a shattered left hand. I was out of work for a while so I had to use the pay off from the SC to pay bills. Six months later I found a 95 SC400 in perfect shape and here I am back in the saddle. Every time I found another car I liked, it just didn't stack up to the SC.

Edit -> My accident cost close to 10 G, stupid novice drivers should never have lexus cars. I say that in the most hypocritical way. I had to redo the front end enitrely, radiator, battery, fans, frame damage, ligths, bumper, left fender, windshiled, AC condenser and so on...

ok cancel this thread...my car is getting fixed....the final cost of damages was $6688.92 after labor and subtracting the deductible. the auto body shop valued the car at 9700..i guess they can make some money out of fixing it rather than totalling it. good for me anyway...i can attach one picture...this is from straight on...
