Default SC hauling bikes!

Hi everyone.

I've searched a few pages looking for this and found nothing. Sorry I'm sure this has been talked about in the last 20+ years lol.

I'm a mountain biker and I'm curious what you other sc and bike owners do with their bikes and the car. My sc is just a project/toy so I just don't use it when I go biking but I'd like to be able to pack it up.

Anyway. Let me know. Photo after painting the front end for good will lol

I’m not a mountain biker but you can mount/haul your bike(s) on top of the SC with a vintage Yakima Q-Tower rack system. You’d need x6 Q14 clips, x6 Q-Towers, a discontinued Q-Stretch kit and the rest of the usual parts such as the bars, SKS locks and front wind faring.

I’ve acquired some of these Yakima parts myself so far but my goal is to mount one of their Skybox carriers up top.

If you need the old Yakima load spec sheet for the SC300 I can post it up. They used to have our 1992-2000 chassis selectable on their website but they took it off a few years ago. I kept screenshot copies of it before they made that website change.

There is also the option of adding a Hidden Hitch style rear bike mount. I looked up the few companies offering those a while back too.

The options for things like this are slim in 2020 but they’re out there.

A friend of mine in my neighborhood had a bike mount on the trunk of his SC300. I’m not sure what brand it was though.
