It just occured to me that no one could see my datalog because you need to be a registered member of TF.net to view a thread (new rules) ... so I will repost and attach the screenshot here.

164.4 MPH @ 6,691 RPM

Here is a screenshot of my datalog

We also calculated that since my rev limiter is at 8,000 RPM ... if we had the ***** to try it and enough boost and time to get us there, 196.56 MPH is where we would be at when hitting the rev limiter ... and if that weren't enough for ya ... then we would just raise the limiter

Just for the record, I will NEVER go 160+ again. It was fun, but not worth it for a 2nd time.

Yea, very, very lucky!

138MPH, me too!

We must be suffering from some kind of mental anxiety about hitting the big 140.

There’s something about the disconnecting feeling you get once you’ve gone over 140 that makes you think twice about revisiting that zone….

P.S. I've been over the 160 and all I can say is never say never....

I hit somewhere between 142-145mph on Hwy 59S here in Houston.

It was 2 weeks ago around 3:30am after I went clubbin. I din't snap a pic with my phone because I was actually trying to **** off this guy on an accord who flew by me like a foot away while he changed lanes when I was cruising at 75. He scared the hell outta me and I guess road rage kicked in. I flew by him at about 100, then slowed down to line up with him at about 70, then floored it again when he did and almost hit 145 just before I saw my exit. When I got back to regular speed I realized how stupid that was...it felt like I was flying and our steering is just way too responsive. Plus he could've pulled a gun on me or something.

I don't think it's worth going that fast unless you're on a track.

I think the fastest I have ever gone was 145, but just like everyone else said I will probably never do it agian, Its just too much of a risk for a minute or two of fun.

It's too bad that as far as I'm concerned, the only risk is that of being arrested. There are plenty of times when 140+ is perfectly safe. Take I-5 between northern California and LA for example. Hundreds of miles of perfectly flat staight road with nothing around. If I knew that there was an absolute guarantee of no cops, I'd probably set the cruise control at the rev limiter...

True.

I've done 130MPH or so in my BMW, 100MPH in my SC4 and 117MPH on my 89' Nissan Pulsar (LOL....) somewhere on I-5 a few years ago.

However, cops and semis with radio CBs are all over the place now. That really takes all the fun away.

With that said, I think we should all leave high speed driving for tracks. There's really no need to endanger other innocent motorists.

Just because there's no one around on any given strait highway doesn't mean it's safe to go triple digit speeds. There are endless amounts of things that could go wrong other than endangering other drivers. . .

That is true, but if you want to kill yourself to go fast that your own problem.

As long as you don't kill anyone else......it's your problem if you want to hall *** or hall some *** for that matter.

I personally would rather hall some J-low type ***’s back to my pad for some shananigins.

Nothing is safe at 140 anywhere anytime.

Even top speed rated tires blow.

160+ racing a Supra TT. He said that he was doing 160 and I was still pulling away. Had him by about a car length. We raced 3 times, same result. Also, 160+ in my 7M supra w/ a few mods .

i pushed it to 145 one day. I was hitting a slight corner also. The car damn near floats at that speed.
