The stock hood weighs 73 lbs.
At least the shipping weight was 73 lbs, and the little carbboard frame it was shipped to me in couldn't have weighed more then 3-5 lbs.

Maybe the undercover material under the hood weighs a bit. I'm not sure if the carbon fiber hood has one. Hmm... would the carbon fiber hood crack without the undercover from overheating?

You know I think I have had a change of heart.... After reading people have had good dealings with this place, I think I will give them another shot. After I have calmed down for the episode I have realized that I have had bads days and maybe he was having a bad day.... I am going to try and be a bigger person than I have been in this situation... PLUS I really want the Carbon Fiber stuff.....

Well I got my CF trunk & spoiler today and it looks BEAUTIFUL!! I'll be coming in as soon as the hood arrives to get that also.

gotta love the CF............
trunk looks great................that HAS to be the best piece GTP has produced to date!
I got my Varis CF vented hood about 2 months ago, the quality is second to none. As for those who were concerned during the GB( that failed).....about water getting in, the hood comes with removable rain gutters! I am still on the hunt for fenders and doors!

You should come out to Dayton, one weekend. I am going to try and finish the Soarer by spring, the engine bay is getting painted right now. Hopefully, I can get the swap finished(and tuned) before Christmas.......................................................................................................................................Jimmy

I been busy with work and now I am approved for an house and will be busy trying to find now one since I know how much they will give me to spend Dayton is like 1.5 hrs or so from Columbus I think so not too bad I will have to see how eveything goes in the next couple of wks and maybe we can meet up Shawn
