NEED HELP - I know most of you all are replacing (or have replaced) your OEM stereos with after market but I wanted to re-install an OEM on my 92 SC400. I bought one on eBay and tried to install it yesterday but two of the connectors did not fit. The listing said it would fit a 92' - 00' SC300/400 and that it came from a 98' SC400.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHY? IS THERE A DIFFERENCE IN CONNECTORS FOR CERTAIN MODEL YEARS? When I look at the ones for sale, the only difference I can tell is that the cassette holder shield says LOGIC CONTROL DECK whereas the one I have has THEFT DETERRENT DESIGN.
HOW CAN I TELL WHICH OEM STEREO IS FOR A 92'? Pioneer model.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Most SC400 came with a Nakamichi unit. That´s maybe the problem. Search and download the SC300/SC400 service manual and you´ll find the respective wiring to install it anyway.
Cheers,
