Default Is it worth it??

Guys,

I bought my Sc400 (gold) a couple of months ago. I absolutely love the car but I am not fond of the color at all. I have bought several things to install on the car but I am debating putting them on or just selling the car and picking up an SC4 in a color I like better. My friends tell me just to add all the stuff on the car and I will forget about the color - but I know in the back of mind I will always be wanting a different color. I don't want to drop $3-4k painting it as the paint job on it now is fine. So, should I deal with the color and start pimping or sell it and wait until I find the color I want to start modding?? Thx for the advice

depends how much u got the car for =x. i got my car for 9 with 69k on it and it's a 5 speed. Very good condition but i didn't get the color i want... I wanted the platinum color.. I'll paint my car later... I love my car i don't think i could get another.. For now i'm stuck with the silver spruce which isn't a bad color either =). I just like the platinum more.

Id say sell the car as soon as you find the color you want. In the end you will be much happier and will appreciate the car even more. Since you havent found the color you wanted yet, i'd leave the car stock for now. It will save you a lot of the time and hassle involved with switching everything over later.

DX3, I'm afraid that's a question only you can answer. I am of the opinion that there are certain things you must compromise and others that you should not. If this will always be "nagging" at you, then do what you need to do to fix it. I had a similar decision (on a much smaller scale) as I just got my car tinted. It was just too dark for me (the back window was darker than the rest of the car and it made the whole car appear darker) and eventhough that is the way they apparently do the tinting (for style reasons, and many really like it this way) it is not the look I like. So, I'm having that back window re-done to be the same darkness as the rest of the car. To each his own.

Thx for the advice guys,

I figure I will go ahead and put it up for sale, and hopefully replace it shortly after I sell it. I know I want the exaact same car - just in a different color

So I may be on here in a couple of weeks crying because I can't find a new car - but c'est la vie!!!

Thank you once again to all who contributed.

Peace

Jonny

Good call. Im the type who will *pay a little more* and is willing to *wait a little longer* for what I really want. I dont like to just *settle* on things which will i think are just *good* but could be better. Goodluck to you! You will be glad you made the decision.

yeah man, i feel your pain, the best deal i could find was a 95sc with 107k for 8 grand, i had to buy it, the color looks decent in the pic, it has this dark green/forest green color, but after buying i started to notice the paint was chipped in minor areas (around the side mirros and a lil scratch on the f. bumper) and it doesn't look like the paint was maintained and now the car has no shine to it no matter how much you wash it, and plus it has the ****test rims in the world on it (they are not oem). but you just gotta be proud of what you got, besides i'm sure later on you can pop for a paint job, if you come down here to dallas i know some ppl that can do cheap paint jobs

i'm getting my car repainted a different color either this thanksgiving or next summer

Cars suck, take up too much time and money, and lose value. Sell it and get what you WANT before you start regretting it even further.
