Exclamation Shift **** for a '99 SC400

Hey, on my new-to-me 1999 SC 400, the shift **** seems worn. I purchased a replacement on eBay and am stuck. I cannot find how to replace. On YouTube and here I only find the old style ***** like on my '93. Any ideas?

Unscrew it. It's threaded internally and spins on and off.

Thanks! I never would have thought of that. The new one looks so much better.

That looks good! I wish my SC had a gated shifter.

thanks - the more I look tho, I realize the colors aren't correct. The tan should match the console trim, and the wood is a lighter shade than the wood in the car.

What colors are these?

I put a Mazda 6 **** in mine. Solid black = matches everything, and a more robust feel. The stock gated **** just looks/feels a bit too fancy, like a delicate wine glass. The thread pattern is shared with many Japanese cars, so there are lots of inexpensive options.

Very nice! I decided to order another shifter. The leather is close enough and the wood trim matches the dash and center console. I'm good. Thanks for all the help!

Now on to find some OEM floor mats.
