Default 97 fog light connector Variants?

Hey guys so I’m in the middle of a massive overhaul on the front end of my 95 SC 400 I have a brand new 97 OEM bumper painted and replacing all the bulbs in the front end and I’ve got everything situated except the fog lights. When I bought the car it had a 97 bumper on it with working fog lights I took that bumper off and put on a 95 because I knew I was gonna get a nicer condition 97 Bumper at some point so I haven’t had working fogs for about a year,My problem is that the original ones worked fine and I’m wondering if there is a different connector? I’m going to my storage to dig my old ones out today and get to the bottom of this thanks and advance

Hello,

As LeX2K pointed out, it is not a Toyota connector, it was probably replaced at some point, depending on what fog lights you've had before an upgrade. Even if you keep this wiring, find where it is spliced and see how it was done, not always people use connectors or even soldering, some just twist the wires together and cover it in electrical tape, though this one does look like it was dome professionally.

Here you can find a file that has Part Numbers for all connectors that you can find in a car, see what looks similar to your new lights and just get them from a dealership, they are usually not terribly expensive, not to say that it will be much easier than lurking around junkyards in search of one and then dealing with an old, crumpling connector.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

Seconding LeX2K and Arsenii ^^

ObSCessed, that looks like a common Delphi/Aptiv connector to me. Good quality but it won't plug into your 1997-2000 fog light OEM housings. That also does not look like it would work on 95-96 foglight housings either. The wire sleeving is totally aftermarket as well. Maybe(?) a very meticulous previous owner did a clean re-sleeve when replacing those connectors or maybe that harness isn't in fact going to what should be 1995 OEM fog light wires. Best to check the continuity with a multimeter on each side of the car while turning your fog light switch on and off on the lighting control stalk just to be sure.

For 97-00 SC factory fog light housings, for each side you need connector 90980-11156. And for each connector you will need 2x 82998-12440 terminal repair wires.

I do believe the 1995-1996 SC fog light housings use yet another connector but I am not sure of that.
