Default Anyone know how to disassemble the 97+ fog light housing?

The inside of my fog housing is filled with sand and the contacts are corroded. I took it out and tried unscrewing that unbelievably tight screw on the side but it didn't do anything. Tried prying off the cover but it was not coming off either.

I believe you need to use heat to break the glue/silicone

If you are trying to get into the back just keep trying. If you are trying to get inside the unit then you are going to have to bake it. It's sealed with a glue/silicone style composite that rivals anything out there for strength. Bake it at 300 for 10 mins and check it to see if the glue has loosened. If not then stick it back in and keep checking it. Once the plastic is slightly soft it is as good as you are going to get don't leave it in longer.
