Here are the components.

Not complicated. Maybe the woodruff key is messed up, crank sensor plate is mangled etc. don't force find out what is going on.

ok i keep saying tomortow but despite 28 degree and darkness i just cant let this go.

so anyways i took the pulley off, pic of pulley attached.

thats all im changing out just that part… the pulley.

there was a piece of plastic behind it that fell out of my plastic cover . maybe that was the problem?

i see something that looks like the key but it seems rverything is good there so here is a pic. am i good to try to put it back on now or should i press that thing in with a screw driver? i dont wanna mess somethinng up

You need to change out that lower cover, if you don't you will take out the t-belt with mud etc. If I remember right it's only about 4 bolts and you should be able to do it without taking much more apart.

This is the woodruff key.

You need to pull the lower timing cover (which should be replaced). The crank position sensor plate 19315 in the diagram (Lexus calls it angle sensor, same thing) not sure if it is intact or not. Can't be sure but the crank gear might not be seated all the way.

That sensor plate should be on the key as well.

Me either. Could be lighting but maybe not, something is off. Hopefully the woodruff key is not out of place those things are super had to put in.

sorry can you explain it like im five? im pretty retarded. so pull the lower timing cover off and pull the sensor plate(19315) off?

then what? push the [13521P - PULLEY, CRANKSHAFT TIMING] further on the shaft? will it just push on by hand?

then do i need a new sensor plate(19315)? or just use the same one? push it on by hand or do i need a tool?

then put a new timing chain cover? and then how do i finally at the end of all this line up my pulley[13407] to the key?

thanks

The plate will (normally) come off by hand. The crank gear (behind the plate) should be seated all way onto the crankshaft. It may or may not move by hand.
