That looks good, plate is on correctly. Grab a couple of cans of brake cleaner and spray that area down the belt can't have any oil on it.

And turn the engine over a couple of times by hand when you get the pulley back on, it looks like the belt is not quite all the way on the tensioner pulley.

well ****. i cleaned it with parts/carb cleaner.
so i put it all together and now theres a little noise coming from the pulley area. both with and without the belt on

took it out and did some doughnuts and it drives perfectly fine, passed the durability test

Could be timing belt harmonics or possibly idler/tensioner bearing. I wouldn't clean rubber with carb cleaner, yes you could have buggered up the belt.

the noise isnt coming from idler so i guess its the timing belt. if i dont sell it its due for timing belt change anyways. 193k mi and last time the timing belt was done according to the sticker on there is at 70k miles
