How do I move dead seats in a 95 SC300?
Greetings all.
I've a 1995 SC300, with either a dead Seat ECU or two dead seats. I'm thinking it's the seats, the wife left the sunroof open in a rain storm and there was a serious amount of water in the floor. After drying everything out, the seats worked for a couple of days and then gradually all the motors quit responding.
I've decided to swap the seats for a set of Tan leather Supra seats, more sportier , but I've run into a problem.
One seat is all the way back, so I can only get to the front bolts. The other is far enough forward to make getting to the front bolts impossible.
Isn't there an "emergency" release to allow the seats to fold forward and then slide out of the way for rear passengers?
I can't get even a thin boxed wrench on the hidden bolts to get these things out, and I really don't want to torch the seats loose.
I'm not opposed to cutting the leather off, and removing the foam in the seat bottom, if it'll help. It looks like there should be some kind of slide release, but either my tracks are rusted solid, or the seats simply don't do that.
Any help is appreciated.

Same thing happened to me during a motorswap. Aliga told me this. On the rail closest to the shifter, there is a 10mm bolt, just turn the thing, and the seat will move forward or back.
Its inside the rail itself, so when you look at it, your also looking toward the rear of the car. Hope that made sense.

People the 10mm nuts are located (slightly recessed) at the FRONT of the front seats right above the sliding rail on each side. Two to a seat. You have to get your head down right in front of the seats to see them. A flash light would be a good idea. Use a socket with a short extension. By turning the nut(s) you are just manually turning the motor gear to move the seat. It's a Lexus, these guys think of EVERYTHING.
