Automatic center console removal
Ok I am working on a project to spice up my interior a little bit. I know many here will not agree with it but I have seen it done other places and done correctly it adds some uniqueness to ones interior. I am heavily into the drift scene so my car is more that style than vip. I will be covering my center console in a picture of the famous great wave painting.
I searched the site and could not find an directions on removing the "face plate" on the automatic shifter. I'd imagine the **** itself needs to be removed. The radio should be easy and the climate control can be removed once the radio has been. I am just unsure about the shifter plate

Turn off the car and park it somewhere flat. Then put it in N, pull down the plastic sheathing at the base of the shifter and remove the 2 screws there. The shifter will then come off and the faceplate just pops off after that.

thanks guys. I'll post pictures when its finished. I am an artist and have an actual real wood blocked print of that picture in my house. I am deciding on whether or not to hand paint the pieces myself or just use a poster spray adhesive and matte clear over that. I'm unsure which of the two is less disrepsectful to the work.
