Default Dyno Results: PT6262 (billet), 2JZGTE, Automatic

First note...This is not an SC300, but since I have a 2JZGTE SC300 at the moment I figured this would be the place to spread the word to other 2JZGTE swapped folks considering mild turbo applications for their SC.

Alright so the results are in... PT6262 @ 19psi, 93 Oct, Auto...

! Probably will not have it re-tuned/dyno'd on race gas until I do a 5/6spd swap next year. No intention of crazy power levels, just wanted a fun car to drive around on the weekends...which is why I picked the smaller billet.

Really, I just wanted something that drove like stock twins but with less plumbing and some potential for cranking it up down the road.

Nice! Those are some pretty good numbers that you made. We just put a PT6262 in one of our customer's IS300. I'm excited to see how much power that this is going to make.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys! Can't wait to see what it will do on the track! Just don't want to break anything, which is why I went the conservative route...

I see way too many people building 800hp cars and then selling them for some unknown reason, so i figure if I keep it practical I'll enjoy it more cause I can drive it without worry.

The color is actually Ultrasonic Blue Mica (Lexus IS-F Blue)... it started its life as Renaissance Red but I am not a big fan of red, it just happened to be priced really well.

I'm definitely not a ***** talker or a hater and I wish my car made power like that
but those numbers seem a little low to me. My boy just made 403whp and 335 torque at 19 psi on a sr20(4 cyl.) With a t3/t4 50trim .63 exhaust . I would think that a gte motor (2 extra cyl.) way bigger turbo same boost would make more than 50whp and 60 tq more than the sr.

I'm just saying!!! I'm about to put a 1jz in with a single turbo and seeing these numbers got me a little worried that Its not going to make the power I thought it would.

And he made that on an SR20 w/automatic transmission and high stall (4000rpm+) torque converter? I'm guessing not.

Also, for your buddy, keep in mind where his power peaked and for how long...etc... I have seen B16 Hondas make crazy peak HP levels with a small displacement motor spun to 8000rpm but very little usable power in the regular driving rpm range...

I'm sure if the car was a 5spd/6spd it would have made closer to 500rwhp.

well I dont know much about about stalls and auto trannies. But yea I guess it would of been a little more with a manual tranny. And a little more power would have got the numbers in the range that I was looking for. Like I said man I'm just concerned for myself cause his car already weighs 900lbs less than mine and I want to build a setup that could run with his. And I really dont care about usable power range his car ran 11.9 at 123 so its getting the job done Even if it does not hit hard till later on in the RPM's. But congrats I hope to achieve the numbers you have some day!

O and that SR does have after market intake manifold. Top mount tubular exhaust manifold(900 bucks),264 cams and so on......so again congrats to getting over 400 with minimal efforts.

Hate to be a negative nancy but those results are very unimpressive.

A GT3076 on a 2.5L rb motor will make full boost about 3.5-4k and make around 300rwkw on ~20psi.

This is making full boost by what looks like 5.5k on a 3L and only makes what 320rwkw which it holds for ~2.5k of rev range?

That really is pretty average, to be making boost that late I would be expecting in the realm of 400rwkw, power also seems to hold flat where as it keeps on increasing all the way to 8000rpm on an rb25 (if you have valve springs that aren't crappy and old).

Personally I would have gone a GT3076 or a GT3582r and got full boost at under 4k and made an easy 350rwkw on 20psi+, much larger useable rpm range, full boost earlier and less revs required.

Why is it so laggy and power stops climbing so early?
