Hey people,
I've been lurking now and again on this site since the end of last year. I became an SC400 owner ('92 burgundy/tan) back in October and it's treated me real well so far.
Right off the bat, I had the foggy/condensation issue in one headlight and opted to have an aftermarket chrome set installed. The only problem was that my mechanic at the time had no idea how to properly install them- even though the listing said they were "plug and play". The good thing was that the headlights, themselves, worked. But nothing else did, including the halos and the other peripheral lights.
I asked for guidance from the seller, but their instructions weren't of much help to me, or my mechanic. I left it alone for a couple of months and then went to someone else. Same issue. They couldn't figure out how to install them properly. I asked people here with aftermarket headlights via PM what they did and STILL was no better off. No one had a clue. I even took it to Lexus and they didn't want to touch them with a 10 foot pole.
Finally, about a month back I went to a new mechanic who was referred by a family member. He said he was willing to work with me to do a proper install. But he still needed something concrete, like a wiring diagram, or outright instructions. So I bugged the original seller until they finally coughed up some nice, fully labeled pics which show how the lights are supposed to be installed.
And here they are attached to this message...![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The whole process was a nightmare for me, but this post will hopefully pave the way for anyone else with the same problems. You can thank me later!

^ Lol what do you think? That install seems very intuitive to me for anybody with a basic understanding of their car's wiring... any car's wiring for that matter. You actually had a mechanic that couldn't figure this out? My recommendation is to never let that person anywhere near any of your cars haha.

To be perfectly fair to him, he was thrown off by a wire that was cut by the first guy who installed the lights. Because of that, he told me he needed to at least see a wiring diagram. I'm sure he would've figured it out had there not been that cut wire.

Due to condensation in the headlight buckets, the projectors are rusted and don't ajust any more. I need a good headlight that will last. I am still putting 500 miles a week on the car.
