After spending a good amount of time trying to search here if anyone had the same problem. i ended up finding nothing. basically my brake lights dont work. everything else works though. if i turn on my lights my tail lights everything works fine(including the dual filament bulbs for my brake lights). however when i step on the brake the 2nd filament doesn't light up. i have checked the bulbs and they all work fine. also checked fuses in engine bay. havent checked fuses in the drivers side kick panel though. any suggestions on what the problem might be?

Get a meter on the wires right at the brake light and have someone step on the brakes. test for voltage and test for cont. to groun. you could have a wire grounding out as well.

thanks guys. i really hope that its the fuse. i dont really want to bring it to my mechanic when it turns out to be something easy to fix. will figure out if that is the problem tomorrow.
