I will be doing timing belt replacement probably next weekend. It's for 97 sc400. I want to replace drive belt and tensioners, as well as water pump and thermostat. What else should I replace while in there? Crank seal? Can you guys point me in right direction, what parts should I get? Also, I went to sewell parts website and they don't have all the parts that I need. What's the best place to get oem parts from?
Damn JetLet, I saved a few bucks from your list! Wondering if I do a 2jz-gte swap, can i just buy waterpump front assembly and reuse the rear assembly?

Don't know the difference about the water pump between 2JZGE and 2JZGTE, I would buy the whole assembly though since there are issues that if you just buy the half it could be 10 or 11 bolt.
Also buy new t-stat and o-ring for it as well as the 3 o-rings found on the U-shape pipe under the distributor.
Do not over-torque the tiiming belt idler bolt or it will strip. That one bolt is attached into the aluminum oil pump asembly. If you stripped it just Helicoil that hole. That's what happened to mine, previous owner/mechanic over-tigthened that sumbi@tch.
