Default LCA Bushings replaced

Well got my 98 SC300 back from the shop yesterday.

Had my LCA bushings replaced with ones bought from tmengineering.

All I can say is WOW. I can't believe the difference they made. The steering is way more responsive and I don't have that squirly feeling in the front end anymore. The ride I will admit is a bit stiff but I have TT wheels and tokico blues. It truly feels very sporty.

So if you're having any issues like described in my prior thread,

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...e-squirly.html

then replace the bushings. I also had a tie rod problem that was repaired a while back but the general squirly-ness over uneven roads really never went away.

I really want to replace my bushings but I'm leaning more towards getting whole new LCA's because the ones on the car now have 200k and counting, so the balljoints must be on their way out the door soon.

My car has 197k miles on it. My mechanic told me the ball joints were still good. I trust his judgement as he specializes in Supras and all things Toyota.

Squirly. That's country folk talk.

i cant wait for my damn control arms to come back from powdercoating. I'm dying to install my bushings already, hearing all these stories of people experiencing improved ride.

Did mine last month (LCAs only) with the prothane bushings, stock everything else...it's great! had a "clunk" when I put it in reverse and let off the brakes, plus some clunks when going over bumps...but now, it's tighter than a flea’s *** over a rain barrel (or insert your favorite countryism here LMAO)

I can go through curves @ 70 - 75 and it feels like 45...very noticeable improvement in handing.
