Ridiculous questions & Comments from people
I'm sure I'm not the only one that have laughed at the statements people say to you about your car or hear across the way of what people are mumbling. I'm curious what others have heard.
A few of my laughs:
1) "Is that a V8?"
2) "What type of car is that?" And they're looking right at my badges on the trunk!
3) Other Guy: Hey nice SC
Me: Thanks
Other Guy: My friend's uncle's cousins' third stepson's child's roomate's uncle's nanny used to have one with 1000HP!
Me: *Walks away*
4) Guy: What year is it?
Me: '93
Guy: No way! Seriously, what year is it?
Me: It's a '93!
Guy: Come on man, for real, what year is it?
Me: I'm serious, it's a '93!
Guy: No it's not! Just tell me already!
Me: Ok, yeah, it's an '03.
Guy: Nice!
5) Guy: Is it twin turbo?
Me: No, i went with a big single
Guy: Aww bro, you should have twin turbo'd it they're faster
Post up some of your experiences!! I know there must be s ton!

Kid with a '92-'94 SCX00: "How do you turn your foglights on like that?"
Me: "Simple, with the flip of a switch like this" *Flips switch*
Kid: "Hey where's my foglight switch, I can't find it! What's up with that?"
Me: "Well, My car is a '95+ year model that was equipped with oem foglights, earlier models don't have foglights, They had cornering lights instead."
Kid:

tim hortans drive through lady as i roll up to the window to the window she couldent see anyone in there becuase im on the right side and the window looks down to my car
Lady: whoa what?
Me: * unbuckles and pretty much crawls over my console to get my order)
Kid at school: Dude why where you letting your brother drive your car? isent he like 15?

Guy leaning up against his early 90's V6 Mustang: "it looks nice but too bad its front wheel drive"
Me: "actually its rear wheel drive"
Guy: "no way! Well even if it is, whatever 4 banger or V6 its got under the hood doesn't stand a chance against an American V8"
Me: " actually it is a V8 and isn't your mustang a V6?"
Guy: "Ya but I'm gonna swap in a 5.0"
Me: "hmm, well I didn't have to swap mine and the other engine this car comes with is an inline 6 that can destroy pretty much any American V8"
Me: "actually its rear wheel drive"
Guy: "no way! Well even if it is, whatever 4 banger or V6 its got under the hood doesn't stand a chance against an American V8"

Guy: "Ya but I'm gonna swap in a 5.0"

From day one I had my SC, whenever me and my Uncle hang out he would ask me what year my SC is, and I would tell him like it ain't no thing it's a '95. Yet as soon as he needs to mention the year, wether we're at the "Hobby Shop" (a DIY repair garage for Navy personnel here in SD) or Autozone/auto shop, he would nonchalantly say it's an '05.
My other Uncle, wants me to paint the lip of my rim anodized blue so it would match my anodized blue Muteki lug nuts.
My other Uncle wants me to sell it, for an Accord or a Civic because he's saying it's costing me too much to maintain my SC and he's thinking that a Honda is a more reliable car than a bloody Lexus. And he clearly don't understand the concept of rebuilding and restoring a classic.
But other than those I mentioned, I always get compliments for how well maintained my SC looks. I even had a compliment from a hobo saying he had one when it first came out. So, in conclusion I either got a couple of jealous Uncle's or they're really sucky in passing a car judgement thinking a Honda is more reliable than a Lexus. BTW I'm rocking an MIP '95, which I think really compliments the year and kinda rare color especially here in SD. I see a few parked but never in action.

i always just get thumbs up mostly from older rich ppl driving like bentleys and mercedes... im sure they remember owning one back in the day whenn they actually paid 50k for it...
and actually ppl always ask me is that the v6 or the v8 model...
me: its a v8, and there is no such thing as a "v6" model sc its an I6
them: yea there is, its an sc300... it has a v6

Mines got called a Del Sol.... At work I was listening to some customers having a conversation bout a black del sol with gold rims parked at the end of the parking lot. Curious to see what car they were talking bout I walked outside and only saw my car parked there
