Default little update

well i figured i'd show u guys the little update i made. not much. finally got the car driving after the accident. now im just trying to source out bumpers. already got a front...just need a rear now. also i FINALLY got around to lowering my car heres the new height. thats me frowning btw haha

Ouch! at the rear end.. you'll have it fixed in no time though...4k for that car is a steal Looking forward to seeing you build it!!

k so i havent updated this thread in a while ha! Well to start off, i finally put my 3 inch exhaust on. sounds great! its 3 inch stainless steel all the way back from the turbos. some vids:


first vid i had a pretty bad boost leak

sorry for the large photos, those were the smallest i could get it!

heres my car with 300 m rims. car has been lowered about an 1/4 inch since this photo and will be dropped a little lower again once i score some xxr 521's then the car will be stanced properly

ALRIGHT TIME TO DOCUMENT MY PROGRESS, THIS THREAD IS GONNA GET OH SO COOL REAL QUICK!

Decided to trade my nearly mint condition 97 fog lights for these foglights which already have hid's installed and i yellow glass projector! traded straight up, just paid shipping. SCORE!!

Reason why i got them is because i like the look of yellow fog lights with bright blue hid headlights. i was originally planning on buying 3k hids for fogs since 3k is yellow, but since these already have yellow projector lense thats not needed! now i can get super bright hid's like 6k and still get my desired yellow color

now i just need to get a bumper....vertex maybe??? hmmmmm

looks like i scored a sweet vertex rep bumper! i got it for a really good price and it has awesome fitment! gonna mount it by zip ties btw also got a really good quote price to paint this sucker. also got some side skirts which arent pictured

so i was driving home one day and i noticed my car was driving a little weird. i decided to keep driving and take a look at it later (thought it was just a torn vacuum hose *vacuum leak*) but then i noticed my temp starting to get a little hot so i pulled over before it got too bad. my rear turbo blew up!! it was leaking oil everywhere so i preceded to drive back to my apt. Come to find out, my rear turbo coolant hose popped off which overheated my turbo and made it blow up! Which also explains why my car was overheating. will never get these stupid hose clamps again. single turbo here i come!

so this is how the car is currently sitting. nothing special. so plans for single turbo upgrade:
550 whp with a welded diff. yes i said welded > i dont daily this car so im not worried about it too much. plans to do that:
-holset hx35
-mk4 550's
-12 cm housing or bep housing on holset
-twin scrool manifold t4 with a t3/t4 adapter plate
-50 mm hks wastegate
-new walbro 400 fuel pump
-all stainless steel lines and an fittings
-aeromotive fuel pressure regulator
-greddy emanage ultimate
-264 cams later on down the road (thats how ill achieve the 550 whp)
i only plan on running 400 whp on the initial tune because i only have a w58 with a stage 3 clutch (brand unknown, previous owner never told me) but once i get an r154 i will be turning up the boost and try to hit low 500's high 400's.

figured in the meant time lets put on that new bumper these are just rough fitments, nothing was zip tied or bolted down. look how look that bumper sits! also test fitted the side skirts but did not take a pic since i havent yet mounted them on the car yet, reason why? because they're reps -_- i need to do a little more grinding to make them fit better. but i can tell u this, THEY ARE LOW. about an inch and a half gap from ground to side skirt
