Default Rear diffuser ideas

Hi guys!

I was looking around on the internet, other forum and here on CL and find that.. well we have not a really big choice of rear diffuser for the soarer/sc300/sc400!

So I was thinking of fabbing myself one! I don't know yet if that's a good idea, but for now I've manage to make my ideas real, with photoshop and end up with 2 styles:

one pretty simple, centered 4 row diffuser

and one kinda racing, keeping the center 4 row diffuser but with the extension under the exhaust, and side canards, a little bit like the Do Luck rear diffuser for mkiv supra! I added a black "diffuser alike" plate under the side skirt too, just for the look.

This is made from a picture I found on the internet, base on a rear autocouture bumper (because that's what I'm looking for as the erebuni rear lip is impossible to find) with 97 stock sides skirts.

So no credit for the base picture that's not my car.

Let me know what you guys think! Simple or racing? Or something else?

Nice ideas. I think it would look better on a more aggressive SC with a Vertex kit

And I just learn how the "black "diffuser alike" plate under the side skirt" used to be called: side splitter! thanks for that info too!

You got a point!

But I do find the vertex kit sweet but more a fan of oem 97 with add-ons or autocouture kit!

Id take a rear diffuser made for the SC all day if someone was willing to make one. Unfortunately I think the closest out there right now would be retrofitting a mk3/mk4 supra diffuser... maybe even a FC RX-7 could work based off of info Ive previously found.

It's funny, I was thinking about this too!

Was what I was looking at. However, the rear tire sump is a little lower than the stock 97 bumper

Me too that's why I have plan to fit one from another vehicle! I think I don't want to wait till someone do it!

Yep I have think about this, and for the spare thing, I have seen universal rear diffuser that have a rounder shape than the one you got there! So It may clear the spare! But well.. ideas an reality aren't always the same!!

Yeah lol, sorry sometimes I type too fast, and don't reread what I've typed lol. So sometimes you'll see type something like

"Chicken, rice" and what I mean by that is "I want chicken and rice for dinner" my gf hates it lol
