FYI - Roof Problem
Recently my roof ceased to retract. It seemed as though it was not releasing from the right side (passenger side) of the windshield. When I took it in, they warned me it might be four days while they order parts... no problem, I expected that. Turned out one of the cable holders on the right side had loosened and dropped the cable. All they had to do was tighten the holder and put the cable on it. Had my car back within hours.

Probably not. There was no warning either. I had lowered and raised my roof the day before and hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary.
I wasn't at the dealership so I didn't see the procedure. I spoke briefly with the Service Manager over the phone. I do know that in order to get to that area, the roof liner must be removed. Don't know if there's another panel after that. The SM indicated that it was a very easy fix for them.
This problem is probably fairly remote to most owners. My car has been on the road for over two years and I have my suspension cranked up stiff. So the problem may never arise for you. But if it does, at least you'll know it isn't unique and there's an easy warranty fix.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
