Default Anyone lowered their SC430I with just springs?

I was wondering if anyone lowered their car with just spring?

If yes, Can you post some pics?

Also if you can let me know how much it lowered the car & what springs were used.

(I know I should lower my car with Coilover which I am planning to but I was just curious)

Thanks

Had the Tein S-techs on for about 6 months. This severely reduced the front end travel. I ended up using up all of the travel simply going over speed bumps. Also, the rebound rate was terrible so cornering got pretty scary. Now with the coil-overs and no complaints. First pic with stock wheels. Second and third pic is the day I got wheels. The car was a bit lower when all of it settled a few days later. All the pics were with the coils only.

I am looking to lower my Sc in the next month also, after I get my wheels from DXC. I know the praises for the tein cs coilovers, but have any Sc drivers had any success with just springs? Dan it doesn't sound like you did. Can you guys chime in and give us some options.

I have just H&R springs and it is ok for me, one day I should upgrade to the tien cs, but for now it is fine for me. It cost around $300.

Its a good question, I think these are almost all of your spring options.
Springs are considerably cheaper than coilovers but performance is different. If you want a cheap alternative to coilovers then springs are the answer. However if you plan on using springs dont lower you car too much, because you are still using the stock struts/shocks (not sure which name is correct). The (struts/shocks) are what keep your car from bouncing when u hit bumps in the road or uneven pavement. When you dont replace these when u put in springs you add stress to these shocks/struts therefore they will probally blow and be less effective therefore your handling of the car is reduced. Though it is possible to retain driving quality with springs its in your best interest to get a spring that doesnt drop your car too much so that u can retain ride quality. So if you are just going to get springs I would get either the Eibach or Tiend H since they offer the lowest possible drop. I really like eibach springs they make good quality stuff.

Tien S - 1.5" drop
Tien H - .7" Front 1" Rear
Tanabe - 1.25-1.5"
H&R - 1.2"
TTE - 1.25"
Eibach Pro Kit - .8"

Can someone answer this question for me, I read somewhere that TTE are rebranded Eibach springs? Is this true and if so why different heights?

Can anyone please tell me how low you can go with the Tien CS and how high? Can you slam it pretty low if you buy the whole Tien CS? I might get one soon and just slam it with no body kit. Any thoughts? Mike
