service history - need help please (Lexus Techs)
Hello SC group
Im looking at picking up a used one and pulled service history off my Lexus and not certain what a few items mean. I tried searching with Google and nothing came up other then a few misc threads that had them listed but no answers as to what was done.
-R. DSC 1-SD (OFF-VEH)
-F.DSC 1-SD (OFF-VEH)
-FRONT/REAR BODY
Carfax comes back clean as a 2 owner car.
Thanks for your help
Mike

In case you don't get a reply from an actual Lexus tech - here is my guess from looking at a lot of these service history for last 3 years or so -
-R. DSC 1-SD (OFF-VEH) - could be rear Disk brake repair - likely new pad and/or resurface rotor
-F.DSC 1-SD (OFF-VEH) - could be front Disk brake repair - likely new pad and/or resurface rotor
-FRONT/REAR BODY - this seems to be a misc catch all for a trim or body hardware repair
So that's a guess - could be totally wrong. The tech's entering this have to pick closest description from a surprisingly limited drop down list so sometimes it can be pretty cryptic and actually not too accurate in term of what was actually repaired.

Thanks for the reply
I agree with the rotors/brakes and was my assumption just wanted to make sure.
Its the last one that has me concerned being done at 46k miles if I recall correctly. Carfax does show its clean but that doesn't rule out any body work. Car is far from me so just want to make sure its worth the drive.
If I call the dealer that did the service will they disclose what was performed not being the current owner?

Since the work was done at a Lexus dealership they should be willing to explain their entries. When I was looking at a SC to buy recently I took a copy of repairs made on a particular car at different Lexus dealers. My dealer explained all and even called another Lexus dealer about a hard to understand item! Good luck.

Won't disclose anything unless you own the car. Shoud you buy it, you can asked for the complete history...it more extensive than the online version. Carfax probably would not know about damage that does not involve an insurance claim. Simple repairs to bumper covers for cosmetic reasons are typical in high end cars.
