timing belt - while you are at it shine!
I am in the middle of a timing belt change on my 02' sc430 and wow are things dirty.
The question is.... the right and left side timing belt covers are pretty dirty looking. most people paint these. I am thinking of powdercoating them. Should I be concerned with the additional heat on these items? Since they are not needed for much more than a dust cover, I am thinking this would not be an issue.
Thoughts?

Cost of powdercoating is free when you have all the stuff to do it.
You see some. This picture is Mandyfig's beautiful engine. You see lots of the pass side cover. Not too much of the drivers.
I am thinking a smoked chrome look. Maybe more of a silver. Or a crackle finish.
