in NY its pretty simple. you pay the taxes and registration fees to dmv. fill out a salvage inspection form (110 fee). In about 4-5 weeks depending on the area you live, you will get an appointment for an inspection. After inspection is complete, you will get a title, and your done! Car can be driven on the road or can be resold, etc. Once the car passes inspection, the next buyer (if your friend sells the car down the line) does not have to go thru this process. it is one time only.

OneHotSc400 and Sleeper97 both came by and took a look at the car and also rode in the car.
Hopefully they can critique the car.

Here is what is WRONG with the car:

-Windshield needs to be replaced
-One dime sized door ding on PASS side door
-Ignition key cover missing
-Door open indicator light is on even though the doors are closed
-Front bumper is scuffed up a bit and needs a repaint
-Headlights a slighty cloudy and needs some buffing and polish.
-Car also needs some good detailing

Other than the things indicated here, the car is absolutely PERFECT for a turbo project!

The leather is mint condition and still has new car smell. The car is quiet like it should be and drives strong. You guys must see to appreciate. Once you see it you'll know what I'm talking about.

Gazi, you should have no problem selling this car.

Thanks Dennis for your input. I appreciate you coming out on short notice.

-Windshield needs to be replaced --- will be replaced on saturday
-One dime sized door ding on PASS side door
-Ignition key cover missing --- 3 dollar piece, will be replaced by me
-Door open indicator light is on even though the doors are closed --- will be looked at this weekend ( i think one of the door sensors is bad). Funny thing is that it was working fine up until yesterday.
-Front bumper is scuffed up a bit and needs a repaint --- i think with a good detail, it should look alot better, but definitely if you want a perfect car, Dennis is right.
-Headlights a slighty cloudy and needs some buffing and polish. --- common problem on scs
-Car also needs some good detailing --- I will get this done for any buyer once a deposit is left!

The leather is mint condition and still has new car smell. The car is quiet like it should be and drives strong. You guys must see to appreciate. Once you see it you'll know what I'm talking about.

I would like to add:
I think Lexus changed the leather material in the 97+ cars, my leather in the 96 is hard, cracked compared to the butter soft leather in the 97.

Car runs quiet, hit the gas hard, the rpms rise, car takes off. Car runs mint! The 2jz-ge as you all know is probably the best designed engine coming out of Toyota! You guys know that, Im just repeating.

i really appreciate you guys are honest. i am checking for all papers from my side at this moment.

MUST have an SC in germany soon!

PS: i once bought a professional cassette deck somewhere in the states. he said "perfect condition!" in his advert and by request. when i received it - the only thing that worked was the power button.

p.hase, i love the german humor!!!

I think other guys would appreciate this joke as well from p.hase:

in Germany if you have regular wheels, they think you run(manage) the club
if you have chrome wheels, they think you own the club

I may have lost some of the meaning in translation. But p.hase hopefully can chime in!

haha, my profession is selling sound systems, mainly club mixing consoles. well, when i pass with my LS430 they only grin. but....

when i buy an SC they may think i am selling mainly to redlight district clubs now.

but when i buy an SC and put chrome wheels on - neighbours will know for sure - i am running a redlight bar!
