I have used one, i did take it to shuck's and tested, outputs 14V

Aren't most alternators judge by the Amp it puts out, most are at 100 AMP.

Please give me more info.

amps are amps volts are volts

i really cant tell for sure, i'm not that educated in this area (not yet anyhow) auto supply only told me what voltage it outputs, i think amps is capacity - meaning it can only support so many things that draw current i.e. cd, amp, lights, wipers etc etc
