Unhappy 92 sc 400 for sale/chicagoland area

Hello, I am selling my car to help fund some other projects I have going on.

1992 Lexus SC 400 coupe in Pearl White with tan interior.
VIN JT8UZ30C2N0016404
63,000 original miles ! That’s right and its not a typo!

The car has been in my immediate family since new. My parents owned the car prior to me, and since have retired to Fla. They had 3 cars and did not need a third. They maintained this car religiously at Orland Park Lexus. If you want the complete history, you can give them a call.

I have owned the car for the last two years. The car was driven for two winters by my parents, and always stored by me. It is in my garage in storage at this time, unless I have a serious buyer, I will leave it there till next spring.

The car still handles like a dream. The engine is very strong, and you can hardly tell it is running at times when sitting idle. The transmission shifts perfectly. Everything works like it should.

As with any 13 year old car, it does have a few blemishes. Misc. dings, chips, and so on. But nothing a dent guy cannot repair. Nothing major!

There is one little stone chip in the windshield that has been there forever, but it is not in the drivers line of sight.

Tires and wheels (no major curb rash) are in decent shape, but tires are mismatched.
Fronts are Eagle rs-a 225/55/16 with approx. 50% tread life left.
Rears are Dunlop sp sport 225/55/16 with appox. 80 tread life left.

The leather interior is starting to show its age. No rips or tears, but it is starting to lose its suppleness. But it still looks very good.

There is one burnt out light in the guage assembly. One of the backlights for the climate control is burnt out, so it makes it difficult to see at night. (there is a company on ebay that will repair this for a minimal fee) There is also a small crack in one of the center vents. These problems I have listed are inherent to this model.

I don`t want to downplay in what I believe to be a very good car. It has never given me a problem. I just want to make sure that I list all of its peculiarities before someone decides to have a look at it so that they now what they are getting. What you get, is what you see. And I believe this car will be a very good car for the next person who owns it.

If you are ready to own a very nice car, and truly are serious you can contact me at:
Jpabon924@aol.com Or call me at home at 219-365-1521

I am asking for $ 10,000 obo

I am located in Crown Point Indiana which is in the vincinity of the chicagoland metropolitan area.

Depends, if it's in stellar condition then $10K is more than a fair price. If it's not in excellent condition, then it's probably way too much.

The problem is there is a huge range of value when it comes to these cars in this age range because the condition can vary drastically and without a million up close photos inside and out along with service history, it's impossible to even begin to grasp the condition. Even all of that won't tell everything that looking at it in person would.

For the shape its in, I`d have to say its pretty close to stellar. I work as a technician for a living, and I`d be hard pressed to find a 92 daily driver thats in this type of condition. (albeit this car does get put away for the winter) I will attach some pictures later that I took this afternoon. My digital camera is old school, so pics aren`t great. I`m still in modem dial up mode in this area, so loading a ton of pics is out of the question. Unless you want them e-mailed to you......let me know.
