That's a heck of a deal on the rear! I paid 1100$ for one with similar miles.

Drained for shipping purposes? Why would you remove lubrication to ship it? that makes no sense? so it's lighter?

Mine was 60 shipped from Arkansas to socal.

I'd say it makes sense. It saves on shipping, and anyone in their right mind would change the fluid before installing it anyway.

Will the Torsen mate with the stock axle?

No shipper will accept the diff full of fluid, I guess they consider it hazardous. Sale pending with guy in NC, will keep you guys posted. I also have matching TT automatic driveshaft available $250 shipped. Same mileage, same clean condition, no damage.

Is the TT driveshaft thicker than the NA's or something? I figured if the diff is plug and play, that means the ds is the same spec too (or at least lengthwise).

i think you need the DS too with the auto diff. we tries to put one into mteeles can when we put in the 1J, but the DS didnt work. i cant remember what exactly was wrong, but i think it was a wider flange than stock.

i may be interested in the 6speed ring and pinion gears... if i can use my stock 5speed bellhouseing. im lazy, but ill search to find the answer. its been a while.

I doubt it would fit bro, otherwise 6-speed LSD would also fit into 5sp/auto pumpkin.
