Default FS: Clutchmasters FX300 Stage 3 Kevlar Clutch

PRICE DROP: $350 SHIPPED

This is a Clutchmasters FX300 Kevlar clutch set.

I had the same setup in my NA-T SC300 and it held back the torque without a problem. The advantage of Kevlar is its long life: this disc will last approximately 2 to 3 times as long as standard organic depending on how you drive. Unfortunately the pressure plate failed and I had to replace the clutch.

After sending it to Clutchmasters, they agreed the pressure plate was faulty and they sent me a new one. The disc is my same original unit with about 10k miles. As you can see in the pics, the ink stamped numbers on the disc are still there showing how little the Kevlar is worn. This stuff lasts a long time.

This is a $575 clutch set plus shipping direct from Clutchmasters. Paypal users add 3%. Buy with confidence: if the clutch is faulty Clutchmasters is very good about replacing defective parts no matter where you buy them even if the warranty is expired. They were good to me and I've heard other accounts of the same.

Ah, I see you are running one, too.

All you W58 guys, this is the clutch you want to hold back your power. Nice and light pedal unlike the RPS. Perfect for your turbo dailies.

Just to confirm - This is a New Pressure plate and a Used Clutch Disc? Are you including any of the bearings or the alignment tool?

Right, new pressure plate unused from Clutchmasters and a lightly used disc with an easy-driven 10k miles. Again, the ink-stamped part numbers haven't even been worn off yet.

Yes, the pilot bearing, throw out bearing, and alignment tool are all included. The bearings are brand new, never used in their boxes.

Clutchmasters rates it at 110% increase over stock which is about 475hp. Plus I'm sure that's a conservative number to cover their asses since the 110% figure is for the stage number and not model-specific. That torque capacity isn't the same on every single application so they need to build in some cushion on the rating.

Perfect clutch for mild to mid power NA-T's.

The R154 uses a completely different clutch setup (pull type) so no it won't work unless you have a W58 behind that 1J. If you do then you should be fine.

You're telling me.

Looks like no one needs a clutch right now. Eh, I got time.

And a spare in the meantime.
