I know it isn't going to be a lot but how many horses do you pick up with the intake? Also how loud is it during normal acceleration? And finally is there a heat shield available for this application?

where do you hook up the maf to the intake? and does this fit the v8?

The set up goes from filter -> MAF -> intake pipe -> Throttle body.

Not sure if it will fit the V8, but there shouldn't be a reason why it wouldn't fit unless the MAF size is different from the straight 6 motor.

You pick up maybe 3whp or less. It makes a difference in the torque band a bit. There is no difference in noise unless you put your foot down. Under normal acceleration there isn't too much of a difference in sound. There is a heat shield available, but I didn't buy it with the heat shield option. This thing doesn't even get that heat soaked so there's not much to worry about.

there is a difference in the maf housing size. for the v8, the end portion that connects to the tube is 3.5" and for the I6, it's 3". I just checked when i tried to swap the maf housing from a spare one i hd around.
