Pillowball mounts take the place of the upper mounts of your spring/shock that bolt onto the chassis.

What are the benefits of these pillow ball mounts, and are these compatible with tein basics?

These mounts should be compatible with any spring/shock setup. Some full coilovers come with pillowball mounts. From my readings, they are used to increase stability and some can adjust camber, but these don't look like they do. The factory rubber bushing is replaced with metal "pillowball" bearings to allow for more consistency at the track. For the street it will probably ride a bit rougher since there is no more rubber bushing absorbing the bumps.
