FS: 97-00 Rear bumper with side extensions
#4
i dont think you get it. I dont know what side extensions are. I have a 93 so i know what the bumper looks like but not the side extensions. The picture is to validate the cleanliness of the bumper if not the paints condition. SO if you have a pic or a link to one, please link to it.

the lower extensions are the small rectangular pieces that go under the rear quarter panels. Your SC does NOT have them currently. $250 is an excellent price painted. And it will match your car too!
Imagine paying $300 + for body parts alone, Plus $250 for paint. You're saving a lot here...

Oh i see, I already have a 97 bumper on the car now due to an accident but i notice that the bumper doesnt align with the extensions from the 93.. is this the reason why? is it because i need those extensions? if so i will take the whole thing..

Aliga, When you say the paint is not guaranteed? what does that mean? does it need to be repainted. I have a black sc3 so it would be convenient if it didnt need paint. Just let me know.
thanks

Want it perfect??? repaint is your ONLY option......most seller do NOT guarantee on paint condition on any painted parts due to parts is used and plus it will have to get shipped or whatever....so best will be get the bumper and get your local paint shop to refinish it before you install.....here is what the bumper looks like.....much better looking than the 92-96 style....

The bumper looks good. Just curious. Is that a rear lip that covers the entire bottom of the bumper? Is that what the extension is? or are the extensions the things that go on the side of the bumper where it meets the body? Nonetheless it looks fine to me.
thanks for the pics.

yeah because for the pre96 model, the bumper goes like
( [licenseplate] )
while the post 96 models they go like
| [licenseplate] |
) O O (
in other words 1 go in the other go out so if u get the bumper but not the extension it'll be like
( for the qtr panel but ) for the bumper thus having a weird gap which makes the car look weird.
i hope you understand if you dont then....well, i tried.
