FS: Kicker Comp mounted in Nak basket
This is the 07 Kicker Comp series 10" sub mounted in the basket of my old Nak sub so that it bolts perfectly into an sc. It was many hours of labor to cut and grind this basket to fit. Also, there is a small nick in the surround of the sub because the original speaker cover interfered with it, but i have repaired it with silicone and have found no difference in performance. The sub is JB welded to the basket and creates an airtight seal. This sub has good spl (definatley more on the low end) but didn't really hit some of the higher bass notes although kicker says its good for ib set-up and was also too boomy for me. If you like rap or heavy rock with more of a boom sound you might like it.

i have this sub and it gets pretty close to the tank, but there is still clearance though and i have not had any issues. you can always use rubber spacers anyways, or what i did was I made up for the extra height by making circles with 3m double sided stick tape under the bracket, which also helps deaden the vibrations some. Since he has already modded the ring to fit, you wont have to do that (funny i never even thought about modding the ring)
you wont want to use this with the stock amp as the stock amp does not have enough juice and is wrong impedance.
a 300watts-500watt amp is perfect for this speaker (has a strong cone)
i had 2x12" subs in the trunk before @ 1200watts, and literally had no trunk space. with this sub, while not nearly as powerful, works really well and It still satisfies my bass crave. the fact that its in the cabin makes up for it being a 10". hits the lows quite nicely, a little more flat in the highs.
bump for a good product.

nice. plug n play as well?
It's not plug in play, but i could easily be adapted that way.
How much room is to spare from hitting gas tank?
Yes, is clears the tank just enough this is why i used this ring, see pic below.
yea, will it work with the stock amp?
I think it should, kicker told me to only give it 75 watts in ib form, ib takes much less power. I used the smallest pioneer amp 150rms and had the gain turned almost all the way down.
