Default FS: 1jzgte & r154 in CA

just bought this it is actually coming in tomorrow, but I got to get rid of it. I bought it for 2300. i am willing to take a loss. the motor compression tested very even across all cylinders at 150 psi. It still has a 30 day start up warranty with jdmsource.ca. It comes with everything, uncut harness, ecu, ignitor, 5 spd r154, lower trans support, turbos, all sensors. It is a chaser, but I have a rear sump oil setup that i will throw in with it.

asking 2300 obo.

Will this fit into a 1998 sc300? Plug and play?

What other components will I have to buy and install?

What other components will I have to refresh from the existing setup? It appears the belt, hose, pulleys, etc.

thx

this is a chaser motor so you would need to do the following:

rewire: can send to phoenixtuning.com (dr tweak) 450.
oil pan: needs to be rear sump. i have one that i will throw in.
radiator hoses:
intercooler and piping

start it up done.

Default tranny

i was under the impression that the r154 tranny's have a SHORT tail housing, and the 1jzgte bellhousing doesnt have a fin in between the two top transmission bolts, anyone know the specific differences visually? see the short tail housing as compared to the LONG w58?

the w58 transmission is a bit skinnier. also this is off of a chaser so the shift linkage is a bit different than a supra. the supras are the short linkages. I will see if i can find some pictures so we can show you the difference
