Im very interested in buying this if i can find out how much just a oem hood is. i have to replace mine anyways. someone chime in if you know

is it just me or does this carbon fiber seem a little dull in color? from the looks of the other CF hoods.... they look darker then this one? can you verify if it is a lighter shade of CF? if its just me and my terrible eye sight then i could be interested!

its a kevlar carbon fiber, thats the reason for the lighter color.

Explain that please.

The split down the middle is because the rolls are only SO my inches wide. If they had used say 8' wide rolls the entire hood would be covered in one piece of material. Instead they use 4' wide rolls in 2 pieces. I doubt this has anything to do with the carbon/kevlar material unless it's unavailable in 8' wide rolls.

Just as this hood uses 3 pieces.

The support of the hood is made of FRP, the skin is most likely FRP with a carbon-kevlar overlay.

2 pending offers is gonne be like 175 to ship anywhere cause. of the size of the box i will back this very good so it will not crack or damage. this hood is soo light i mean light. u can slam the hood like the oem 1 when u drop it it has to be sat in the latch then i just push it down and it falls in my frined is telling me not to sel it i got TONS OF positive feed back from all of the RICERS where we race but REALLY I NEED 1JZ stuff SO YES IT FOR SALE JUST BUY the hood AND PAINTED IT
