Does anything need to be done to use the gated shifter in a 93 SC300 or will it be plug and play?

Default Yes

Emilio,
The shifter will fit any year SC Lexus 300 or 400. But if you want all the trim panels to work, you will need the shifter surround/bezel, it is not the same as the older. The wood ash tray is a nice touch.
As far as the connections, I do not have the pigtails that plug into the shifter, but that can be hard wired, many have done this mod on the forums. Wiring diagram is available with a quick search.

Ay,
The only shifter bezel I have is what is shown, the car it came from did not have heated seats.

Default Let me check

E,
Let me see if i can find one, the shifter bezel is plastic, it only looks wood, so you could notch out an opening for your current switches, or just relocate the current switches you have to a close by location, the switch will remove from your curtrent shifter bezel.

Regards
Bart

that would be cool if you could do that.. and what about the overdrive button on the current 92 shifter? would the overdrive always be off.. and the trac light would be off too wouldn't it? since it doesn't have a traction button either
