Where do you see that Garrett will install a new one for $400? Or where do you even see that you can get it for $400?

Garrett turbo claims their Ball Bearing turbos are not rebuildable so the offer an exchange service for failed turbos.

http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbob...BBService.html

Ball Bearing Service Program

Garrett takes great pride in the quality of its turbochargers and tests them extensively. However, sometimes the unthinkable happens and a turbo fails. Garrett now provides the option to exchange a failed CHRA for credit on a new CHRA at an affordable price!

Send your used CHRA* to one of Garrett's Performance Distributors for inspection.
Purchase a new CHRA at a discounted price!

Yea, I saw that, but it also says that the old CHRA has to be in rebuildable condition. Is that one rebuildable? What's the lowest shipped to 37064? The only reason I'm asking is right now its only really good for the housings especially if it isn't rebuildable.

I understand your concern. Other than the oil getting past the rear bearing the turbo spools perfectly. When the turbo was first purchased I paid $350 extra for the polished cover and the divided exhaust housing. For what I'm asking it's not unreasonable. Please check your PM.
