Default 1jzgte (auto Ecu chaser)

Bought an extra ECU from (autoboy) on this site and i decided to go with a standalone set-up. My problem ended up being the ignition switch and not an ECU at all. So i have a perfectly working ecu for grabs. I'm asking 150. Thanks so much guys. I'm located in charlotte, Nc 28269.

Would this work for a SC300 with a 1JZ-Soarer JZZ30?

I'm pretty sure chaser pinouts differ from Soarer man.. Like 90 percent certain that Soarer will run like pig with this ecu... If I may suggest maybe try the Australian jzx100 forums??? It will sell much quicker there

yeah sorry just remembered - that ECU will not plug into soarer / SC..

soarers have white pinouts chasers have black / brown pinouts - i know it's a d1ck move to step on your toes in a sale but trust me - i'm saving you from getting dragged through the mud (and i know you're just trying to do a good deed)

but yeah - this will only work with chaser.

Ok guys i have a quick question...ive had both of these ECU's in my car and both have been fine now that i have them sitting here together. the shapes are a bit different. the one that is legible says jzx90 on it and blah blah....but when i put them together side by side the shape of the cases are a bot different.....the pinouts are the exact same and everything but still i wonder what the difference is. any idea guys? heres a couple pics of them together. i have the chaser motor soarer harness done by tweak and the chaser ECU. Are there different chaser ECU's?? mine is also Auto

....

...

.......what!?!?!?!

lol... umm - "other" chaser could be from jzx100 possibly.. i'm unsure, especailly cos my work blocks pictures =P
lol

my advice is - give your toyota parts dealer a call, give them the part number and ask them what description their database shows for that part - that will give you a definite answer!

also - i don't know how familiar you americans are with your cars - but whoever buys these ECU's whether they be for jzx90 / jzx100 / soarer / whatever...

REPLACE THE CAPACITORS.

if you're smart with electronics - caps shouldn't cost more than $10 for full set from say radioshack etc... if you're like ME and NOT smart with electronics - take it to an electronic repair shop near your house and pay them to do it

just to give you an idea of how crucial the CAPS in the ECU are to replace..

my family have three soarers.

my parent's's soarer (white VVTI GTT) was getting bad economy, about 370km / tank.
replace the caps after a week of getting it - car now gets about 570km / tank.

MY soarer - (black VVTI GTT) got registered - the DAY it registered it broke down. car was completely dead. needed to get towed home. car just wouldn't start AT ALL. ... replaced the caps - all fixed.

GrayGreen Sapphire soarer twinturbo. car was flashing "OD OFF" for months now. throwing out code 63. (blown solenoid) wouldn't shift into overdrive. gearbox was clunky and driving like a pig. would barely even get power to the ground.

^^^this one been dealing with for MONTHS. has been SUCH a headache cos we're trying to sell it..

...yesterday - replaced the caps. all is fixed.

basically in the mid 90's the company that made the circuit boards for toyota and mitsubishi bought cheap capacitors - over the years they pop / leak / fail.

the car will run much better with new caps!
